About
Liv Andrea Banner was born and raised in Risskov, Denmark, in 2001 and spent the early years of her adulthood living abroad in Sligo, Ireland.
Banner graduated from The Yeats Academy of Arts, Design, & Architecture in 2025, with a bachelor’s degree in Irish Literature and Creative Writing – the same year her debut novel Guilt Society (De Skyldiges Klub) was published in Denmark. The novel was contested by the publisher for the Bodil & Jørgen Munch-Christensen prize for debut literature.
Her writing is characterised by its slow-paced visuality, psychological depth, and narrative control.
Taking inspiration from the Gothic genre, her style is described as highly atmospheric with an underlying sense of impending doom that follows the reader from sentence to sentence.
While studying in Ireland, Banner also wrote for the Scrimshaw Journal. Her works, including essays, poetry, and photography, are featured in editions II, III, and IV.
In the fall of 2026, she is to begin her master's studies in Media, Culture, & Literature at Lund University in Sweden.
